Primary Solar Functions
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT): The drives most critical function. It constantly calculates the best motor speed based on the available sunlight to ensure the pump always pulls the maximum possible power from the solar PV panels.
Automatic Day/Night Operation: It manages the entire start/stop cycle autonomously. Once the solar panels reach the required "wake-up" voltage in the morning, the drive starts the pump. It performing a controlled shut-down when the sun sets or if the sky becomes too dark.
Dry Run Protection: To prevent motor burnout, the drive monitors torque and load. If the well or borewell runs out of water, the drive detects the drop in resistance and stops the pump immediately.
"Deliverance" Startup Logic: Before starting the motor, the drive checks if the solar array actually has enough power to sustain the pump. This prevents the "start-stop-start" cycle (hunting) that can damage motors during cloudy mornings.
Pump & Water Management
High Starting Torque: Uses Dynamic Torque Vector Control to provide 150% torque at low speeds. This is essential for 10 HP pumps that need to push a heavy column of water up from a deep borehole.
Tank Level Control: You can connect float switches to the drives digital inputs. It will automatically stop pumping when your storage tank is full and restart when the level drops.
Dual-Power Input: While optimized for solar (up to 800V DC), it can also be connected to standard 3-phase AC power. This allows you to run the pump at night using a generator or grid power if necessary.
Protection Features
Soft Start/Stop: Gradually ramps the motor speed up and down to prevent "Water Hammer" (pressure surges) that can burst pipes.
System Diagnostics: Built-in protection against over-voltage (from too many panels), under-voltage, and motor overheating.
